Westside Preventive Medicine was founded in 2004 by Gregory Cohen, MD, MPH, FACC.

Dr. Cohen is recognized as one of the leaders in internal medicine, cardiology, and preventive care in the Los Angeles area. He is well regarded for his preventive approach to healthcare, which emphasizes keeping patients healthy and active, while minimizing unnecessary medications, surgeries and procedures.

Dr. Cohen earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from Washington University, and did his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). He then went on to receive a Master's of Public Health from UCLA, and became an Assistant Professor of Medicine at both the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Cohen is a Fellow with the American College of Cardiology, and is Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Cohen has authored several published articles and has lectured at physician conferences. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
